Group Management Services (GMS) is seeking to hire a full time Workers' Compensation Claims Manager for the Richfield, OH office.

SUMMARY:

Lead Workers' Compensation Claims Specialists and examine, adjust, and manage claims for client company's workers compensation benefits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage Claims Specialists to ensure responsibilities are being met and completed accurately. 
• Schedule and attend meetings with top clients to ensure total comprehension of claims management is understood.
• Advise employers on the proper management and impact of workers compensation claims.  Explain operation of alternate "light work" programs.
• Assist GMS attorneys as required in handling litigated claims and follow up on subrogation claims.
• Follow up with clients as directed and provide recommendations regarding status of WC claims.
• Maintain a claim diary for all active claims either on a bi-weekly or monthly update.
• Provide correspondence on outcomes of BWC orders and/or in Industrial Commission order to clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education and/or Experience - Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university and 2-3 years related experience and/or training; previous workers compensation claims management and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Valid driver's license - required; must be able to travel occasionally (using personal vehicle); minimal overnight stays may be necessary
