Description

Group Management Services is seeking to fill a Benefits Account Manager position in the Charlotte, NC office to serve the greater Charlotte market.

SUMMARY:

The Benefits Account Manager will serve as the primary contact for clients to provide customer service, process additions and terminations, answer questions on the facilitation of the renewal process and reviewing of claims, present renewal rate, and evaluate plan options.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
 

  • Meet with and educate clients prior to renewal to review plan usage, trends, and claims that drive the renewal
  • Initiate quoting process with clients.  Collect, organize, and submit information to quoting specialist and underwriting team
  • Present benefits package to client; explain plan designs and options for plan adjustments while making recommendations on changes to current offerings where necessary
  • Conduct informational and enrollment meetings with client and their employees to explain healthcare plan
  • Maintain a high rate of client retention through quality service

QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Education – Bachelor's Degree preferred; North Carolina license in Life and Health Insurance required within 90 days of employment
  • Experience – 1-2 years experience in health insurance and/or customer service
  • Valid driver's license is required; must be able to travel 50% of the time
  • Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups; excellent interpersonal skills
