Group Management Services (GMS) is seeking to hire a full time Controller out of the Richfield, OH office.

SUMMARY:  Provide leadership over the internal accounting functions within the company; responsible for all aspects related to internal accounting reporting and performance.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 

• Oversee all internal accounting functions within GMS and affiliated companies.
• Lead annual audit/review with outside accountants.
• Produce all GMS & affiliated company (GBS and MKJES) financial statements using Quickbooks.
• Monthly reconciliation of accounts.
• Produce client profitability reports.
• Review monthly commission reports and track accuracy of commission programs.
• Act as a liaison between GMS and bank officials, outside accountants, government agencies, and others in regard to financial matters.
• Oversee healthcare billing-related issues in PEO software.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
 

• Education – Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university.
• Experience – 3-5 years related experience and/or training; knowledge of accounting, payroll, employee benefits, and taxes i preferred.  Above-average knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred.
• Mathematical Skills - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.  Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists while having the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
