Asphalt Services of Ohio, a family owned and operated company, has an immediate opening for an assistant fleet mechanic. This is a full time year-round position and pay will be based on experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with the inspection and diagnosis of trucks and construction equipment through various diagnostic testing to determine appropriate repairs
• Assist with truck and construction equipment repairs
• Perform regular routine maintenance on trucks and construction equipment
• Use company vehicle to pick up parts locally as needed
• Maintain documentation of service and repair to all vehicles
• Maintain the cleanliness of tools and work area

Requirements:

• Have a valid driver’s license
• One or more years of diesel and / or construction equipment experience
• High school or post-secondary training in automotive and/or diesel engine repair or equivalent on-the-job training
• Having your own tools is preferred
• Ability to work 40 hours per week plus overtime as needed
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
