Gervasi Vineyard: Winery and Vineyard Worker

The Winery and Vineyard Worker has responsibility to support all phases of wine production and vineyard care through the varying seasonal requirements
and to ensure all assigned tasks are done in accordance with best practices, procedures, and safety requirements.

Part-time: 10-40 hrs/wk.
Day shifts Monday-Saturday- Hours between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. (flexible)
Be flexible in order to accommodate the changing demands of the Winery, Vineyard and General Operations.
Able to follow details with great precision
Willing to learn specific skills and tasks associated with vineyards and a winery
Potential for growth within this position
Able to multi-task 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Support all phases of winery activities such as harvest, crush, fermentation, pump- over, racking, filtering, wine movement, blending, bottling, and cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
• Support all phases of vineyard work such as pruning, tying, vine training, weed control, canopy management, fruit thinning and harvest.
• Support equipment maintenance and other operational areas as required.
• Follow and observe all safe operating procedures and safety precautions
• Maintain safe and sanitary conditions throughout all working spaces.
• Participate in staff meetings as required.
• Available to participate in winery tours and wine related public and private events.
• Perform any other tasks in support of winery, vineyard, or overall Gervasi Vineyard operations and grounds as requested by management.

 
  
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

• Education:  High School Diploma
• Experience:  Experience in Winery and Vineyard work is preferred. 
• Physical Requirements; The Winery and Vineyard Worker will be expected to work as required both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions with proper breaks and protective clothing. Must be able to climb ladders, and maneuver heavy loads.
