Overview:

Are you a skilled CDL A Driver with a passion for precision and a commitment to safety? Connect Housing Blocks is looking for an experienced driver to join our team. You'll play a crucial role in transporting essential materials, loading and securing cargo, and ensuring every delivery meets our high standards. If you have expertise in flatbed, lowboy, and wide load/over-dimensional transport and want to be home daily, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

What You'll Do:

• Load and Secure: Safely load and secure flatbed, lowboy, and wide load/over-dimension cargo for transport.
• Transport Excellence: Schedule escorts, pull permits, and handle all aspects of over-dimensional loads with precision.
• Daily Routes: Drive locally to ensure you're home daily while maintaining a high level of professionalism and safety on the road.
• Equipment Operation: Utilize forklifts as needed to manage cargo loading and unloading.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 3 years of verifiable experience driving CDL A vehicles, including flatbed, lowboy, and wide load/over-dimension loads.
• Licensing: Must possess a valid CDL A license.
• Skill Set: Experience in loading, securing, and transporting diverse types of cargo. Ability to operate a forklift is required.
• Safety Compliance: Must pass a DOT drug screen and adhere to all safety regulations.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to operate heavy machinery, including forklifts, and regularly handle cargo. The role requires remaining in a stationary position while driving and occasional movement around the vehicle to secure loads.

Work Environment:

The work environment involves exposure to various weather conditions while on the road. The individual must be comfortable working near moving mechanical parts and managing loud machinery during loading and unloading.
