Description

Group Management Services is currently looking for a full time Human Resources Account Manager for the Columbus market.

SUMMARY

The Account Manager will provide professional human resources services and consultation to our clients via phone, email and in person. He/she will analyze client needs and proactively consult with clients to employ appropriate human resource strategies, best practices, policies, and procedures to increase client satisfaction.
This position requires the Account Manager to be responsible for multiple clients, across a variety of industries in and around the Columbus market.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Evaluates human resource practices within client organizations to determine effective procedures, techniques, and practices to strengthen the HR function within the company
  • Develops a variety of HR deliverables for clients, such as handbooks, job descriptions, surveys, etc.
  • Designs and conducts HR Trainings/Workshops for managers and/or employees on various topics (sexual harassment, discipline, conflict resolution, effective communication, discrimination, etc.).
  • Conducts goodwill client visits to establish client needs, responds and follows up with requests for materials or information.
  • Researches and provides recent updates/revisions to Federal/State and Local laws
  • Researches and resolves day-to-day HR issues
  • Serves as 1st point of contact for payroll, benefits and risk management issues and questions. Coordinates resolution as necessary.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
 

  • Education – Degree in Human Resources preferred
  • Experience – Minimum of 2 years related experience required.  Prefer 3-5 years HR experience.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be willing to travel (locally) to client sites using personal vehicle (after 90 days a company car will be provided)
  • Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups
