Position Overview
Pink Shell Beach Resort and Marina seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The Engineering Mechanic provides advanced technical repairs and maintenance to all resort systems, equipment and physical features.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Repairs and maintains all kitchen, laundry and pool equipment
  • Maintains and repairs and programs all HVAC equipment
  • Repairs interior and exterior finishes
  • Tests, operates, and maintains building emergency systems
  • Ensure main shop, all electrical and mechanical rooms are operating in a safe, secure manner
  • Uses lock-out tag-out procedures whenever required
  • Repairs and maintains all ice machines, refrigeration systems, all electrical and natural gas distribution systems
  • Specifies and orders tools, parts, materials, and supplies to support all major equipment and systems
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on all equipment
  • Ensure staff works safely with proper lifting techniques, clothing, eye and hearing protection
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 5 years experience in general maintenance which includes: Plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
  • 2+ years experience in refrigeration/ HVAC
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • Experience with small hand tools such as drills, grinders and saws
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs while carrying heavy items
