Pink Shell is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic. The Maintenance Mechanic provides advanced technical repairs and maintenance to all resort systems, equipment and physical features.

What are we looking for?

• We are looking for an individual who can work unsupervised and complete work in a timely and effective manner and can communicate professionally with guests and staff
• 5+ years’ experience in general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
• 2+ years’ experience in refrigeration/HVAC required
• Ability to climb ladders, walk up and down the stairs while carrying heavy items, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Has experience with small hand tools such as drills, grinders, and saws
• Has flexibility and ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and Holidays

What would my job responsibilities be?

• Repair and maintain all kitchen, laundry, and pool equipment
• Maintain, repair, and program all HVAC equipment
• Repair interior and exterior finishes
• Test, operate and maintain building emergency systems
• Ensure that all electrical and mechanical rooms in the main shop operate in a safe, secure manner
• Use lock-out tag-out procedures whenever required
• Repair and maintain all ice machines, refrigeration systems, all electrical and natural gas distribution systems
• Specify and order tools, parts, materials, and supplies to support all major equipment and systems
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all equipment
• Ensure staff works safely with proper lifting techniques, clothing, eye, and hearing protection
• Perform any other duties as assigned
