Position Overview

Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina is looking for a Housekeeping Inspector to join our enthusiastic team! As a Housekeeping Inspector, you will inspect guest rooms to ensure cleaning needs meet BMC standards.

Pay: $13.50/hour

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assign housekeepers their duties and inspects work for compliance to prescribed standards of cleanliness
• Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and takes corrective action
• Obtain list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments
• Coordinate work activities among departments
• Assist in conducting orientation training, in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use, as well as maintenance of equipment
• Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies
• Evaluate records to forecast department personnel requirements
• Prepare reports concerning room occupancy, payroll, and department expenses
• Perform cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage
• Examine guest rooms and the resort as a whole to determine the need for repairs/replacement of furniture or equipment, as well as makes recommendations to management
• Issues supplies and equipment to workers
• Establish standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1-2 years guest room housekeeping experience, preferred in luxury hospitality
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Basic computer skills required (e.g. Word, Excel)
• Must be proficient in reading and speaking English
• Must have the ability to push/pull carts weighing approximately 100 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, climb and reach continuously.
• Must have a flexible schedule including weekend and holidays
