Position Overview
Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina is looking for an experienced mechanic to join our Engineering department on 3rd shift. This position pays $15 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain all kitchen, laundry and pool equipment
• Maintain and repair and program all HVAC equipment
• Repair interior and exterior finishes
• Test, operate, and maintain building emergency systems
• Ensure main shop, all electrical and mechanical rooms are operating in a safe, secure manner
• Use lock-out tag-out procedures whenever required
• Repair and maintain all ice machines, refrigeration systems, all electrical and natural gas distribution systems
• Specify and order tools, parts, materials, and supplies to support all major equipment and systems
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all equipment
• Ensure staff works safely with proper lifting techniques, clothing, eye and hearing protection
• Any other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a class in refrigeration/HVAC with qualified technical background.
• Must have related experience in two (2) of the following disciples:
  • Plumbing/electrical repair
  • General facility maintenance
  • Vehicle repair
  • Light carpentry
  • Appliance/AC certification trouble shooting and repair
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs
• Operation of small hand tools such as drills, grinders, saws, etc.
• Ability to stand and walk for longs period of time; frequent walking, bending, grasping, writing, pushing, and pulling and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must have a flexible schedule including weekend and holidays
