Houseman / Housekeeping Aide

The Houseman will be responsible for stocking the housekeeping supplies for the various housekeeping function in the hotel and cleaning the guest hallways.  This is a full time position pay $9.55 per hour.  

You will also be required to:

• Clean out the ash tray stands in the hall way
• Wipe down the vending areas; ice machines, candy machines, soda machines in the guest corridors
• Vacuum the common areas including hallways, elevators, carpet edges, stairwells and elevators
• Dust flat surfaces including light fixtures, tables, desks, and railings
• Remove gum from the floor and carpet
• Restock the carts with clean linen as needed by the Rooms Housekeepers
• Take dirty glasses from the guest rooms and takes to the dishwasher in the kitchen for cleaning
• Stock amenities and cleaning supplies in the storage area
• Shampoo carpets and mop floors when needed.

This is an entry level position to support the housekeeping staff.  Compensation will start at $9.55 per hour. 

You must be able to do the following:

• Must be willing to lift and carry heavy boxes and loads of linen up to 50 lbs.
• Have weekend and holiday availability
• Bend and reach to vacuum and perform cleaning duties
• Good communication skills to provide information, answer questions and perform services
• Must be able to work outside in all Florida weather conditions
• Experience in the hospitality industry preferred
