Pinnacle Metal Products is currently seeking full-time CAD Structural Steel Detailers (TEKLA) in Columbus, Ohio. We are a company that fabricates, delivers, and installs quality stairs, handrails, sculptures, and more!  In this role, you will be responsible for transforming structural drawings and models into production drawings.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leads modeling process; takes models and cuts into traditional drafting views; uses appropriate dimensions to create bill of material; processes individual part drawings.
• Reads architectural drawings and compares to models.
• Makes designs using computer-aided drafting systems to prepare drawings and designs.
• Uses required drafting and mechanical drawing skills, and knowledge of computer-assisted drafting [CAD] equipment and software.
• Manages files and organizes project files.
• Updates drawings per direction efficiently.
• Builds files for CNC plant equipment.
• Assures most efficient use of resources as you build the CNC Files
• Acts as a backup for the Primary CNC programmer.
• Other duties as required.

What we look for:

• TEKLA AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks software - required
• Experience with coordinating with detailers outside of the US
• MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software - required
• High School Diploma or equivalent - required
• Covid Vaccination Required
• Associate degree in industrial, civil, structural engineering or construction design – preferred
• Experience detailing in manufacturing, assembly, production, or similar industries
• Experience detailing in construction or structural building industries
• Experience reading and understanding blueprints, designs, and drawings
• Experience with CNC Equipment programming
