Description

Pinnacle Metal Products is currently seeking full-time Safety Director to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. We are a company that fabricates, delivers, and installs quality stairs, handrails, sculptures, and more!  In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment both in the shop and in the field for all employees, contractors, and visitors, while maintaining compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations. What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies to prevent accidents, injuries, and illnesses in the workplace.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide safety training and education to all employees, including new hires, to ensure they understand and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Investigate and document all workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and work with management to develop and implement preventive measures.
  • Serve as the company's liaison with regulatory agencies, such as OSHA, and ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to integrate safety practices into daily operations and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, and develop strategies to continuously improve safety outcomes and reduce workplace hazards.
  • Manage the company's safety budget, including the procurement of safety equipment, training materials, and other resources.
  • Lead the company's Emergency Response Team and ensure that all members are trained and prepared to respond effectively to emergency situations.
  • Represent the company in safety-related legal proceedings and regulatory hearings, as needed.
