As Sales Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Sales and service of group business including both sleeping rooms and catering sales revenue
  • Responding to customer inquiries and developing customers independently in both the social and corporate markets with a focus on wedding events
  • Building local client base through sales calls, prospecting, direct mail, networking, referrals
  • Meeting weekly quota for outside sales calls
  • Closing the sale and meeting monthly booking goals for room nights and catering sales
  • Ensuring successful events that meet both the client needs and company’s profitability guidelines
  • Communicating all relevant information to appropriate departments in a detailed manner
  • Managing event from initial sale through successful completion

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales and food & beverage experience in hotels is preferred
  • Knowledge of travel industry, current market trends, and economic factors
  • Extensive skill in development and delivery of sales presentations and negotiating
  • Strong working knowledge of hotel industry sales & marketing computer functions
  • Must possess a valid United States drivers license and have access to a vehicle in order to complete weekly sales call requirements
