As Sales Manager you will be responsible for:
- Sales and service of group business including both sleeping rooms and catering sales revenue
- Responding to customer inquiries and developing customers independently in both the social and corporate markets with a focus on wedding events
- Building local client base through sales calls, prospecting, direct mail, networking, referrals
- Meeting weekly quota for outside sales calls
- Closing the sale and meeting monthly booking goals for room nights and catering sales
- Ensuring successful events that meet both the client needs and company’s profitability guidelines
- Communicating all relevant information to appropriate departments in a detailed manner
- Managing event from initial sale through successful completion
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of sales and food & beverage experience in hotels is preferred
- Knowledge of travel industry, current market trends, and economic factors
- Extensive skill in development and delivery of sales presentations and negotiating
- Strong working knowledge of hotel industry sales & marketing computer functions
- Must possess a valid United States drivers license and have access to a vehicle in order to complete weekly sales call requirements
