Description
The Plaza Resort & Spa is currently seeking a talented and experienced Food and Beverage Director to take full responsibility of the operation and direction of our Food & Beverage Department.

Qualifications: Only candidates who meet the minimum requirements will be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a full-service Director of Food & Beverage, 200+ rooms with multiple outlets and large catering operation.
  • Excellent team building & communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable on food and liquor federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • This position requires long hours of standing as well as walking as well as walking up and down stairs.
Duties & Expectations:
  • Overall ownership of Food & Beverage – concept, operations, sales, finance, marketing
  • Supervise and train all management level associates in the food and beverage discipline
  • Schedule and direct food and beverage personnel
  • Provides disciplinary action when necessary
  • Provide associates with the necessary tools or equipment they need to perform their job
  • Participate in monthly / weekly staff and management meetings
  • Direct and review performance standards in food preparation, purchasing and production to ensure goals are achieved
  • Monitor and coordinate effective sanitation, cleanliness and organization efforts
  • Coordinate the food and beverage department to coincide with volumes in business generated by the Catering/Sales and Rooms Division
  • Work closely with Director of Sales and Marketing to coordinate and oversee delivery of catering and convention services
  • Produce approved budget and operate both established guidelines in regard to costs, expenses, sales and profit for food and beverage department
  • Prepare a weekly sales and payroll forecast for food and beverage departments
  • Work with the Accounting Department to ensure that proper controls are followed in all food and beverage areas (food cost, inventory, payroll, etc.)
  • Analyzes and monitors profit and loss statements
  • Interviews and hires new personnel when needed
