Job Title: Director of Manufacturing

Location: Bradenton, FL (On-site, with some travel between facilities)

 

About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned Director of Manufacturing to lead and scale our cannabis manufacturing operations in Florida. As a vertically integrated operator in a rapidly growing medical market.  This role is critical in ensuring our flower and oil-based product lines are consistently produced, packaged, and delivered to meet retail demand, while integrating automation, refining SOPs, and driving operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of cannabis manufacturing across our Post-Harvest department and Oil Department, including but not limited to, trimming, drying, curing, filling, packaging, and finished goods inventory management.
  • Partner with cultivation and retail teams to forecast demand and align manufacturing capacity accordingly
  • Own production scheduling to ensure timely delivery of finished goods
  • Translate retail and cultivation data into actionable manufacturing plans
  • Implement systems and processes to ensure product quality adheres to company specifications and standards. 
  • Ensure compliance with all local and federal safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and implementing safety procedures in partnership with Operations, QA and Compliance
  • Implement, and optimize automation systems in flower and oil processing (e.g. trimming machines, pre-roll equipment, cart-filling lines)
  • Develop, manage and refine production metrics dashboards and toolsets for yield, throughput, KPI goals and labor optimization
  • Evaluate and implement manufacturing technologies that support scaling with lean teams
  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Retail, QA, and Cultivation to synchronize production with downstream and upstream activities
  • Participate and help manage product development cycles to ensure manufacturing feasibility, cost-efficiency, and speed to market
  • Support compliance and quality assurance teams to maintain state regulatory standards and internal SOPs
  • Work closely with Facilities and Maintenance to assure all equipment and infrastructure are properly maintained and running efficiently
  • Lead and continue to build high-performing manufacturing teams
  • Create scalable training and SOP programs to support rapid expansion and consistency across teams.

 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5+ years in a senior manufacturing leadership role, cannabis preferred, CPG experience a plus
  • Strong experience with production planning, process optimization, and automation systems
  • Proven ability to lead teams through multi-site expansion and hit production goals
  • Deep understanding of vertically integrated cannabis operations, especially in a regulated state like Florida
  • Familiar with cannabis production processes (curing, trimming, packaging), pre-roll automation, and vape/edible production lines

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with ERP/MRP tools (e.g. Business Central, Confident Cannabis, Canix, or similar)
  • Understanding of product development cycles and SKU lifecycle planning
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or background in lean manufacturing methodologies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Range : $90k -110k a year
