We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations by maintaining the building, systems, and equipment that ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
This position involves routine inspections, preventative maintenance, emergency response, and assisting with the Facilities Manager as needed.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on building systems including changing filters, HVAC quick fixes, compressed air systems, lighting, electrical panels, plumbing, and safety systems to avoid unplanned downtime.
- Help repair issues in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems that impact production or building functionality.
- Respond quickly to urgent problems such as power outages, HVAC failures, equipment malfunctions, leaks, or fire/safety alarms.
- Maintain accurate logs of tools, parts, and supplies.
- Assist the Facilities Manager in performing routine facility upkeep tasks such as carpentry, patching, painting, and minor construction to support production areas and common spaces.
- Follow and enforce safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA/EPA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure maintenance tools, ladders, carts, lifts, and other equipment are inspected and kept in safe working conditions.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of facilities or industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of building systems in an industrial/manufacturing setting (e.g., HVAC, electrical, compressed air, plumbing).
- Technical certification in HVAC, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus but not required.
- Strong mechanical repair skills.
- Forklift or aerial lift certification is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Familiarity with safety codes, lockout/tagout, and OSHA regulations.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Physical stamina to work in industrial environments (standing, lifting, climbing).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
