Detail Drafter

Benchmark Craftsman is currently seeking full-time Detail Drafter in Seville, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for converting designs into technical documents and plans including but not limited to construction drawings, set-up drawings, and floor plan in order to satisfy both internal and external needs.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all techniques, dimensions, materials, components are specified on drawings as designed and estimated
• Identify and communicate opportunities for efficiencies to save time and/or costs
• Ensure that all targeted deadlines are met
• Consult with vendors regarding fabrication of components as necessary
• Maintain accurate and organized files of all documentation produced
• Update documents to reflect any changes that had to be made while in production
• Secure Structural Engineering Certificates if required

Requirements:

• Associates degree or equivalent certification
• 5+ years of previous experience
• Proficient with AutoCAD
• Knowledge of basic case and cabinetry work, hardware, construction materials, print reading, and tool use
• Experience with tradeshows, museums, corporate interiors, and exhibit construction preferred
• Basic knowledge of PC based office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
