Receptionist

Environmental Health Watch is currently seeking a full-time Receptionist. In this role, you will handle customer facing duties and general office management duties. When our clients; landlords, tenants, parents, workforce walk into the Resource Center, we want a welcoming, smiling, helping hand to greet each person.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and connect them to the appropriate party
  • Answer the phone promptly and in a timely manner and direct calls to the appropriate office
  • Attend necessary team/staff meetings and trainings
  • Collect and sort mail

Requirements:

  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Excellent communication, active listening and organization skills
  • Skills in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to learn new applications and data management systems
  • Bilingual abilities preferred

Hours: Monday-Friday. Some weekends may be required

Environmental Health Watch was formed in the early 1980's by a group of concerned neighbors and health professionals in response to pervasive health hazards in Northeast Ohio homes and communities. We provide education, advocacy, and direct service to families while also working alongside policy makers to spotlight and confront critical environmental health issues. Our mission is to create healthy homes and sustainable communities by identifying and removing hazards, engaging people, and advancing equitable environmental solutions.

Environmental Health Watch serves as the Administrator for the Lead Safe Cleveland Resource Center, the execution arm of the Lead Safe Cleveland Coalition, an inclusive, public-private partnership founded to address lead poisoning through a comprehensive, preventive, and long-term approach. This approach protects Cleveland’s children by merging smart, adaptable public policies; knowledgeable agencies willing to collaborate; proven community programs and leaders; and public and private sector accountability.
