Description

Rieth Jones Advisors located in Columbus, Ohio is looking for a full-time Advisor provides higher education institutions and municipalities with customized advisory services for facility and operational planning and development. These facilities include student housing, athletics, student life, academic, parking, utility systems, administrative, and related assets. Our unique offering of strategic planning and advisory services position our partners to solve complex financial, operational, and real estate issues. While there is a general framework to achieve successful outcomes, every project requires a flexible and nimble approach.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary qualitative and quantitative lead for a variety of projects ranging from initial market analyses to full-scale, complex capital projects
  • Perform tasks that include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Focus groups
    • Market research
    • Survey and data collection
    • Data analysis
    • Economic modeling
    • Site assessments
    • Space planning and programming
    • Document review (research reports, master plans, economic models, procurement documents, project budgets, design documents, legal agreements, etc.)
    • Management and engagement of institutional partners
    • Presentation development and delivery
    • Documentation (memo and report writing)
  • Work closely with the RJA team (other Advisors and Principals) to execute existing work and develop new opportunities across the country (occasional travel required)

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in finance, economics, planning, real estate, or a related field
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret market research, reports, and related documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from institutional partners, architects, contractors, developers, other advisors, and regulatory agencies
  • Proficient in personal computer skills including email, routine database activity, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license is required. Travel will vary but overnight stays are necessary
