We’re now hiring a Director of Education and Training at Collaborative to End Human Trafficking in Cleveland, OH!

Since its beginning in 2007, the Collaborative to End Human Trafficking has identified human trafficking as a prevalent, yet often unrecognized, issue in Northeast Ohio. It was in response to the need for awareness and advocacy that the organization has brought together local professionals and members of religious female communities to create a community-wide call to action, seeking a systemic, multi-disciplinary response to human trafficking in this region. Today, this ever-growing collaboration includes diverse communities, businesses, non-profits, and governmental organizations.

We are excited to add a Full-time Director of Education and Training to join our team! The Director of Education & Training is responsible for overseeing the implementation and evaluation of education, professional training, technical assistance, outreach and prevention programs. The Director of Education & Training supervises program staff, interns, and ambassadors/speakers. The Director is responsible for managing the overall quality of the Education & Training program and its day-to-day operations, and for the development and quality of the Collaborative’s public speaking and training curriculums. The Director is a member of the agency’s Leadership Team with a focus on carrying our the priorities of the strategic plan.

Pay: $70K-$75k depending on experience

Typical day in the life as a Director of Education and Training:

  • Provide visionary and adaptive leadership, embodying the Collaborative's values and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
  • Develop, coach, mentor, and performance-manage team members and speakers to ensure their growth and effectiveness.
  • Supervise Education & Training staff, ambassadors, survivors and other speakers.
  • Schedule regular program staff and team supervision meetings and conduct program staff orientation and training
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of Education & Training Program staff, promoting their professional development and monitoring fulfillment of their individual responsibilities.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with education leaders involved in human trafficking-related work, inspiring collective action through collaboration and partnership.
  • Coordinate with projects and coalitions at the state and national levels to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the current landscape of anti-trafficking activities.
  • Facilitate communication between Collaborative partners through regular conference calls, in-person meetings, and email updates to ensure alignment of activities and maximize impact.
  • Work with other organization leaders to annually plan the advocacy, education outreach and public policy initiatives.
  • Work with other Directors in developing collaborative relationships with community-based agencies and groups.
  • Compile and evaluate Education & Training program statistics and prepare reports and program summaries as required.
  • Compile, report, and analyze monthly and quarterly service hours through data system to ensure progress towards goals as well as timely and accurate data entry.
  • Annually evaluate overall Education & Training Program effectiveness in conjunction with the program staff and leadership team
  • Work with the Director of Development in preparation of education and training portions of grant applications
  • Participate in timely grant reporting and development of proposals with Director of Development
  • Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field of human trafficking and social justice issues to enhance Education & Training Program effectiveness.
  • Attend all agency staff and supervision meetings and participate in staff development activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in teaching, Higher Education, Educational Policy and/or Leadership, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of three to five years of supervisory and staff supervision experience required.
  • Previous experience in the field of human trafficking/ violence/gender-based violence, education or social justice issues is required.
