Fairfield Inn & Suites in Athens is seeking a Maintenance Technician.  The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the hotel property and ensure it is in good condition and helping to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.

This position will be 1st shift but must be on call for emergencies.  Compensation will be based on experience.  Benefits include: Medical, Dental Vision and Group Life Insurance.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred
• A minimum of two years’ experience in maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry preferred
• Hospitality experience is a plus
• Certifications in plumbing, electrical and pool maintenance a plus
• Valid Driver’s License is required
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities:

• Clean Common Areas
• Perform basic hotel and plumbing repairs
• Clean and maintain the building, grounds and parking lot
• Test and maintain level of pool chemicals
• Clean and maintain pool, spa and pool area according to Hotel Standards
• Empty and clean garbage cans
• Use common tools to performs repairs
• Maintain an active PM program, as prescribed for the hotel
• Move furniture/assist housekeeping and any other duties as assigned
• Assist Front Desk in providing superior customer service for our guests
• Maintain a professional attitude to all guests, associates, and vendors
