Ohio Semitronics, INC is seeking an experienced Full-Time Production Documentation Specialist join our team in Columbus, OH! We are industry pioneers in developing cutting-edge electrical measurement solutions. With over 50 years of expertise, our high-quality sensors, transducers, and meters accurately measure critical electrical parameters. As our Production Documentation Specialist your main responsibilities will be assisting the Drafting group with the following: filing, scanning, attaching and distribution of Engineering documents in both hard copy and electronic formats.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supports the Drafting group in maintaining both hard copy and electronic filing systems.
  • Creates, files, and distributes product specification sheets.
  • Creates, documents, and maintains a database of product identification labels.
  • Enters data for creation/maintenance of bills of material, product routings, and Certificates of Compliance, etc.
  • Verifies, documents, and maintains a database of RoHS status for all component parts and assemblies.
  • Supports the preparation, maintenance, filing and distribution of product Specification Sheets
  • Scans paper documents to create electronic files and attach these files appropriately in the company ERP system.
  • Supports the maintenance, drafting and distribution of product assembly booklets and testing instructions.
  • Creates and maintain product identification labels and labeling instructions.
  • Works with team members and other company groups as required to meet project milestones and to accomplish the previously listed duties and responsibilities.
  • Periodically reviews part specification changes and updates material safety datasheets.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

What you need to be successful:

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) – required
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in a related field
  • Proficient Microsoft Suite
  • Experience with InDesign preferred
  • Experience with CodeSoft preferred
  • Experience with CAD drawing packages such as AutoCAD LT preferred
  • Experience in photography/graphic design strongly preferred
  • Due to the contractual and legal requirements (e.g.,  NAVSEA 5252.227-9100, Protection of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information) that govern a large percentage of the work done by Ohio Semitronics, Inc. ("OSI"), all applicants will have their U.S. citizenship status verified by the Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify System to determine their legal eligibility to perform duties required of the position for which they applied.
