Job Responsibilities:
- Answers telephones, direct calls, and take messages.
- Communicates with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, or explain information, and address complaints.
- Operates office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, voice mail systems, and personal computers.
- Processes company payroll by submitting pay information to the payroll service provider.
- Reviews and maintains all employee payroll information and reporting.
- Maintains all employee personnel files and ensures compliance.
- Manages and maintains company accounting software including entering in all relevant company expenditures.
- Manages and balances company bank accounts and maintains funds to ensure balances can cover outgoing expenses.
- Maintains accurate record keeping of company financial documents, billing statements and invoices.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (or GED, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping and payroll administration experience required
- Proven experience as a back-office assistant, office assistant, virtual assistant or in another relevant administrative role
- General knowledge of computer systems
- Working knowledge of office equipment
- Thorough understanding of office management procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
