Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- 7 AM – 3:30 PM
The right candidate will have:
- High school diploma or equivalent; welding certifications or completion of an accredited welding program preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a pipe welder in an industrial, commercial, or construction environment.
- Proficiency in welding techniques such as TIG, MIG, and arc welding.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Knowledge of various types of pipe materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain precision in welding and fabrication.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols related to welding and metalworking.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces.
Our Pipe Welders will:
- Weld metal pipes and components using various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, and arc welding, based on project requirements.
- Interpret blueprints, layouts, and engineering instructions to accurately cut, fit, and weld pipes and components.
- Measure, cut, and shape pipes using power tools and hand tools to prepare for welding.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure structural soundness, identifying and repairing any defects as necessary.
- Conduct tests and inspections to ensure all welds meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment, performing routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the use of protective equipment and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other tradesmen, such as pipefitters, to ensure proper assembly and installation of piping systems.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure welding conforms to industry standards and project specifications.
- Follow job-specific plans, schedules, and material lists to meet deadlines and project goals.
- All other duties as assigned
