Staff Accountant

Sundance Property Management is seeking a full time Staff Accountant in Cincinnati, OH.

Pay: $50k-$60k/year depending on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Performs general accounting and related duties for the organization.
  • Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and budget variance reports.
  • Maintains the general ledger.
  • Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
  • Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
  • Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, tenant accounts, and other financial accounts.
  • Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and addresses payment discrepancies with vendors.
  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
  • Assists with compliance processing and reporting.
  • Coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software systems; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
  • Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Completes special projects as assigned by the Controller.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration required
  • Three (3) years of related experience required;or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced MS excel skills
