The Field Foreman is responsible for the safe and efficient installation of Hemms scope systems and oversight of all aspects onsite job operations. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The responsibilities listed are fundamental to the position and must be performed successfully to achieve the key performance objectives of the role. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

 

Interpersonal Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Training Manager on assessing and determining on how to best improve and standardize installation processes and procedures.
  • Lead and provide guidance to Glaziers on project installations and other project issues as they occur.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse Supervisor on correct loading of materials and equipment for the job.
  • Collaborate with the Scheduler on the effective allocation of resources and making appropriate scheduling adjustments in coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Actively participate in recurring job site meetings to properly coordinate completion of Hemmsscopewith the customer and other subcontractors.
  • Provide regular job progress updates to the onsite customers representative (Superintendent).

 

Operational Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct Field Glaziers in the installation of framing, glass, panels or other systems as required to meet the deliverables of the project.
  • Monitor and ensure that installations are being performed in organized manner in a well maintained operational area in accordance with industry accepted best practices.
  • Ensure that all required job site equipment is inspected and utilized correctly to meet operational needs. 
  • Oversee and enforce safety procedures and policies on the job site. 
  • Coordinate with Project Managers on the installation of materials and systems required for project jobs, while regularly troubleshooting and providing solutions on issues that occur during the job.
  • Review and discuss job site issues with the Project Manager and/or Quality Assurance/Training Manger.
  • Provide the Project Manager and Scheduler regular updates on the status of job and on any issues that may affect the job to confirm deadlines will be met.
  • Working with the Project Manager and Scheduler, determine as needed if any reallocation of resources will be necessary or if any jobs schedules will require adjustments.
