Description

Title First Agency is seeking a full time Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our team in Westerville, Ohio! The HR Generalist will run the daily functions of the HR department including, but not limited to, any onboarding processes, employee relations, worker's compensation, FMLA, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

 

We offer health, dental, vision, and life benefits, paid time off, paid vacations, short and long term disability, 401k with company match, and industry training! Compensation will be based on experience. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm.

Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties and working conditions.
  • Assist in investigation and resolution of employee issues, concerns and conflicts.
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Handle onboarding process for all new hires as well as ordering and set up of necessary equipment and perform reference and background checks.
  • Maintain and update employee files/conduct file audits.
  • Develop training and development program that ensures all employees are familiar with their job responsibilities, company policies and relevant legal and safety requirements.
  • Process disciplinary or termination paperwork to ensure correct procedures are followed.
  • Respond and gather documentation for unemployment and legal hearings.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure compliance.

 

Requirements:

  • 5 years’ experience as an HR Generalist (preferably of Company with 50+ EEs); Bachelor’s Degree
  • PHR/SHRM-CP Preferred
  • Experience with benefits administration (healthcare, 401(k), dental, vision, STD/LTD, life, etc.)
  • Experience with FMLA, ADA, Policy Development, Training, Multi-State HR Law
  • Basic knowledge of recruiting, hiring/onboarding and employee relations
  • Valid driver’s license is required; Occasional travel is required; Overnight stays may be necessary.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and credit check
