We’re now hiring for an Operator/Data Entry at Carolina's Hometown Respiratory Supply in Concord, NC!

Pay: Starting at: $15 per hour

The position is work-from-home eligible, after successful completion of a six-month orientation period!

Typical day in the life as an Operator/Data Entry:

  • Phone Operator - Answers incoming calls and routes them to the appropriate department
  • Communicates with customers by phone, mail, email and in person and referral offices, nurses and physicians.
  • Monitors incoming faxes for new orders for setup, delivery, pick-up, discontinuance, maintenance or changes in service.
  • Logs all orders received from referral sources in the fax log system and in patients EMR. Distributes to Intake department for processing.
  • Creates and/or maintains patients’ medical chart, account and EMR. Updates insurance, physician, address, contact information as needed.
  • Contacts patient to advise when an order is received and is in process.
  • Sends fax confirmations of the order to the referral.
  • Enters notes on patient account as needed
  • Contacts referral if immediate information is needed such as patients contact numbers and insurance information.
  • Monitors the Fax Log to ensure all orders have been entered and distributed.
  • Distributes incoming documents to appropriate person or department and enters into patients EMR
  • Participates in Quality Improvement activities.
  • Participates in traditional and e-learning programs.
  • Manages incoming calls and orders/documents for processing
  • Manages the document request fax lines.
  • Assist with incoming calls, assist patients as needed.
  • Works as a team to maintain monthly company requirements for department.
  • Works as a team to process orders in a timely manner
  • Taking payments over the phone

What we are we looking for?

  • High School Graduate or GED education
  • One to three month’s related experience and/or training OR experience in Home Medical Equipment
