Remote
Emerald Built Environments are currently searching for a full-time Sustainability Consultant to join their team based in Cleveland, Ohio. Emerald is a leading consulting firm that provides services at the intersection of business and sustainability.

- Pay: $70,000 – $80,000/year, offer dependent of experience
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 – 4:30PM or 8:30 – 5PM
- Remote work
The right candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, sustainability or equivalent, sustainability or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position and/or environment
- Must have professional credentials of LEED AP BD+C and/or ID+C, and WELL AP
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Must be a team player. Ability to coordinate and work with other on various projects and agendas
- This role requires an above-average knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel
- Experience working on LEED BD+C, ID+C, and/or WELL projects for higher ed, K-12, commercial or industrial
Our Sustainability Consultant will:
- Maintaining awareness and accreditations of sustainable building rating systems including version updates and clarifications
- Contributing expert knowledge on how to improve the sustainable performance of projects by suggesting ideas, completing calculations and research, conducting analysis, and facilitating the integrative process
- Contributing expert knowledge to help shape the sustainable building certification strategy to meet project goals
- Collecting and analyzing various data related to the sustainability of the proposed building project and creating reports to show the findings
- Preparing for third-party certification reviews by conducting QAQC of project documentation and preparing communication with third-party reviewers
