The Analytics team at Paul Moss LLC is a tight-knit, fast-paced and even faster-growing team working with a large amount of complete and powerful data.

From identifying trends, root causes, and recommending courses of action, the Analytics team at Paul Moss LLC drives growth for every aspect of our business. We are using advanced statistic modeling, machine learning, and Business Intelligence technologies (Tableau) and turning them into real-time solutions for decision making online and offline. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a bias for action and results, ideally with experience in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. COMPANY IS UNABLE TO PROVIDE SPONSORSHIP.

What You’ll do:

• Design, create and distribute operational and strategic reporting solutions that allow the organization to analyze and measure performance; offering predictive analysis based on historical trending, and supporting more effective strategic decisions through prescriptive analytics
• Troubleshoot Business Intelligence tools (Tableau), systems and software; performance-tune these applications as necessary
• Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to key stakeholders
• Form productive cross-channel relationships that promote teamwork and collaboration in all interactions
• Work with our external Data Science team to develop machine learning models using DataRobot
• Perform data queries (must understand relational databases and ability to query using SQL) and processes data into an insight (visualization of the material via R, Excel, Tableau etc.)

Skills and Requirements:

• You have 2+ years of experience in similar business intelligence, data engineering, data analysis or data visualization role and a degree in science, computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline
• Understands business strategy and can identify innovative business intelligence opportunities that can lead to significant business impact.
• Understands algorithms or models and how to apply to key business metrics with the goal of improving operations or answering business questions.
• Data integration – understands data modeling, can extract/transform/load, job automation/orchestration
• Math and Stats: Understands concepts of Linear regression and model building, training vs. test data, different models of cross validation and Machine Learning.
• Applied Skills: Critical thinking, problem solving skills, and an ability to create visualizations to help tell stories about the data
• Technical Skills: Skilled at using relevant state-of-the-art business intelligence technologies and best practices.
• Understanding of database structure, design, query languages (e.g. SQL), Advance Excel Skills
• Experience with visualization and dashboard tools such as Power BI, R, Excel, Tableau, etc.
• Must be comfortable with unstructured, fast moving and constantly evolving high growth environment
• Proficient at collecting and mining data from disparate data sources, and willing to dig deeper and understand the process that creates the data
