Description
The Customer Service Representative processes orders for merchandise received by mail, telephone, fax, email or personally from customer or company employee by performing the duties listed below:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Receive orders via phone, fax, mail, electronic data intercharge (EDI), and company website.
  • Edit orders received for price and discrepancies.
  • Inform customers of unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
  • Record or file copies of orders received.
  • Follow up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
  • Monitor specific accounts or requests to ensure they are accurate with regards to quantity shipped.
  • Receive and investigate customer complaints.
  • Confer with production, shipping, warehouse or common carrier personnel to expedite or track missing or delayed shipments.
  • Make calls to certain customers to follow up about future orders.
  • Work with clients/consumers to ensure satisfaction. 
  • Follow FTZ procedures - wear security badges, keep doors closed and locked, etc.
  • Outbound calling to contact under performing customers.
  • All other duties as assigned.
