Driver Manager
Meyers Bros. Trucking was founded in 2003 by the current owners, Craig and Dustin Meyers, with a base of operations in Pioneer, Ohio. Starting with three trucks servicing a Menards store in Defiance, Ohio, MBT has now grown to over sixty trucks servicing the entire Midwest, but mainly running in the Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana regions.

We are currently seeking a full-time Driver Manager to join our team in Pioneer, OH! In this role, you will ensure all communication regarding driver assignments is communicated to the drivers facilitating on-time service from beginning to end.
Pay: $40,000-$50,000/year depending on experience

Responsibilities:
- Reviews and revises, when necessary, all load assignments from Planner and/or Customer Service Representatives.
- Works with Planner to route drivers daily.
- Maintains check calls.
- Ensures driver success through relationship building, skill development, effective communication, positive recognition and timely addressing of issues.
- Coaches drivers on time management issues (departure times, driving time, on-time delivery, etc.).
- Coaches drivers on accurate and timely Samsara usage.
- Creates an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort with all direct reports.
- Communicates effectively with other staff; function as a liaison between the driver and other departments to facilitate problem resolution.
- Initiate’s driver recognition and discipline procedures.
- Ensures driver follows all FMCSA and OSHA regulations.
- Reports service failures.
- Monitors truck location and availability.
- Clearly understands company goals, policies, and procedures.
- Updates and monitors all driver payroll records in a “real-time” environment within the companies’ software system.
- Ensures all orders are properly documented in a “real-time” environment in the computer trucking system.
- Schedules trucks for preventative maintenance service.
- Communicates equipment needs to the Asset Manager.
- Complies with company requests related to operations/safety training.
- Notifies safety of any claim problems or accidents immediately and assist as needed.
- Shares after-hours phone, evenings, weekends and holiday coverage as needed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least two (2) years of dispatching experience required.
- Previous experience working with a trucking company.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications.
