At Handshakers Construction LLC, we are seeking a full-time Carpenter to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. Offering a variety of handyman and home improvement services, we pride ourselves in offering great customer service and always strive for customer satisfaction.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Day shift

Our ideal candidate:

• High School Diploma preferred
• At least 1-year previous experience preferred
• Competency in general building trades
• Valid Driver’s license and personal auto insurance
• Your own tools and vehicle
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Ability to organize, sequence and perform assigned tasks within schedule
• Your own smart phone and Internet access

Responsibilities:

• Cut, shape, and install building materials for during the construction, remodeling, or repair in a residential and light commercial setting
• Regularly work with fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard
• Determine and clearly identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects
• Evaluate customer requests, price projects, troubleshoot customer issues, and present a description of a work order to a customer
• Layout for stairs and common rafters
• Read blueprints, utilize appropriate math skills, and perform layout
• Form and place concrete footings, piers, walls, and columns
• Placement of concrete, slab on grade and elevated decks
• Effectively communicate and understand both verbal and written instructions
