We’re now hiring for a Ohio Worker’s Compensation Claims Adjuster at Ross Brittian and Schonberg in Cleveland, OH!

Typical day in the life as a Claims Adjuster:

  • Data entry; organization of documents; printing of documents; mailing of documents; and other various administrative duties a must.
  • Worker’s compensation Claims adjuster needed for a fast paced, high volume workers’ compensation defense practice.
  • Must be able to Manage State Fund Workers' Compensation
  • Communicates, coordinates & collaborates with attorneys, injured workers, MCOs, companies and the BWC in order to properly manage and administer workers compensation claims in the State of Ohio.
  • Performs initial/subsequent claims investigation with companies and administers the claim process to determine coverage, compensability, and work status of the claimant, salary continuation, and settlement of claims.
  • Determines when attorney involvement is necessary in managing claims and makes necessary referrals.
  • Determines catastrophic, amputations, death claims, statutory occupational disease, and Permanent Total Disability [ptd] benefits.
  • Coordinates with MCOs for C9 (treatment request).
  • Reviews claims and claim reserves for possible settlements and impact on state fund employers’ premiums.
