Job Description: The Estimator will be tasked with organizing a detailed estimate/bid with all associated activities per the plans and specifications provided for the carpentry/interiors scope of work. The Estimator will also be tasked with building relations with our existing and new subcontractors, vendors and clients to secure pricing. The Estimator will need to be self-motivated, organized and have sound technical skills. The estimator will report directly to the Chief Estimator.

The Estimator is responsible for the following tasks but is not limited to:

• Utilizing WBI bid/estimating software and procedures. Procore and Planswift.
• Review and analyze drawings, specifications, proposals and other documents.
• Developing scopes of work for subcontractors and receiving qualified bids.
• Ensuring subcontractors are prequalified for the project.
• Obtain and distribute project bid documents.
• Contact and communicate with vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare quantity take-off, schedule and Project Management Turnover Package.
• Review and qualify submitted proposals.
• Assemble the proposal documents.
• Review complete bid breakdown and proposal with the Chief Estimator
• Estimator to Project Manager Handoff meeting.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge Required: Thorough knowledge of the construction industry with familiarity of building codes, laws and regulations. Solid understanding of financial practices, accounting policies and computer related programs.

Experience Required: At least five (5) years of estimating
