Description

Cleveland Association of Building Owners and Managers (BOMA) is seeking an enthusiastic and influential Marketing and Engagement Manager to join our team here in Cleveland, OH! This position is responsible for developing and implementing member attraction and retention strategies, major sponsorship programs, and non-dues revenue initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, write and edit new content to enhance a robust content strategy on website and social media and to obtain media coverage and develop effective public awareness campaigns
  • Develop an agile editorial calendar to manage content variation and staff and members’ contributions
  • Develop, publish, and distribute content across a variety of channels, including web, print, email, and social media
  • Write press releases, media pitches, byline articles, etc.
  • Serve as an in-house copy editor, reviewing marketing literature for consistency, quality, and tone
  • Develop recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Identify and engage potential members via calls and networking.
  • Coordinate with Committees and Executive Vice President to determine types, times, locations and subject matter of events
  • Work with EVP to develop income and expense budgets, including sponsorships for meetings
  • Manage event reporting including event/activity summaries, function evaluations, surveys / questionnaires, etc. using database as appropriate
  • Develop the Annual Partner Program, ensuring financial equity.
  • Identify, promote, and manage sponsorship opportunities and partner relationships
  • Coordinate the annual Vertical Trade Show with the Associate’s Council.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
  • 1 year experience in a nonprofit or marketing setting preferred.
  • Social media management experience.
  • Experience with Canva or Photoshop.
  • Previous committee or group experience.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective listening and telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments under high-pressure conditions.
  • Strong network-building skills.
  • Comfort in a small office setting and a team-oriented attitude.
