Job Summary:
We are in search of a dynamic General Manager to oversee the operations of our upcoming retail location. The ideal candidate will ensure a seamless, professional, and welcoming environment for patients and customers, upholding our commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will be a person whose experience and personality enable them to train and support our budtenders’ ability to maximize every sale and inspire customers to return time and again. Not only because our budtenders love our products and store, but because they’ve built a genuine emotional connection rooted in authentic care, deep product knowledge, and a commitment to delivering a 5.0 Google-worthy experience for every client served.

Responsibilities:
- Hire, supervise and lead managers & retail team.
- Maintain and oversee compliance in all aspects of operations.
- Drive sales and revenue through training and overseeing the sales flow which results in budtender product knowledge, positive patient interactions, and the ability to upsell.
- Implement and oversee In-Store marketing and store merchandising.
- Stay informed about the latest research and guidelines related to cannabis consumption and products.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional strategies and campaigns.
- Participate in planning and executing in-store events.
- Assist in development and implementation of all company standard operating procedures.
- Ensure a high level of customer service is always maintained by setting the standard and emulating it.
- Generate daily reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and key metrics.
- Regularly review and analyze customer data and feedback to identify buying trends and preferences.
- Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
- Address other issues and challenges as they arise.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring a well-stocked and organized dispensary.
- Support reception duties as necessary.
- Train staff on effective customer engagement, sales techniques, and cannabis product knowledge.
- Train staff on state regulated industry practices and compliance requirements.
- Oversee maintenance of point-of-sale systems.
- Maintain an efficient payroll structure.
- Cultivate a team-oriented, organized, and detail-focused work environment.
- Implement health and safety protocols.
- Ensure staff are trained in the effective use of technology in customer transactions.
- Collaborate with floor managers to ensure efficient staff scheduling.
- Handle time-off requests and manage staffing levels based on business demand.
Requirements:
- At least 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior leadership experience in a dispensary setting where sales was a core function of the team with demonstrated experience and oversight of sales within a fast-paced retail environment.
- Must have a clean record verified by a Level 2 Background Screening through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
- Must have an understanding of inventory management.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in utilizing point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to work full-time, with flexibility for night and weekend shifts.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work effectively with diverse personalities.
- Proven ability in resolving issues and maintaining professionalism in challenging situations.
- Basic math skills and cash-handling experience.
- A genuine passion for the cannabis industry and GOLDFLOWER’s vision.
- Enthusiasm for cultivating lasting customer relationships.
