Sims Brothers Recycling in Marion, Ohio is currently seeking a full-time Transportation Scale Manager to add to their team.

Transportation Scale Master weighs inbound and outbound loads.  Ensures shipments into or out of the organization are handled quickly, safely, and accurately.  This includes oversight of company transportation equipment and communication with drivers.   

Responsibilities:

• Weigh inbound and outbound loads
• Effectively communicate with drivers regarding loads and material
• Manage scale operations with the scrap software system (Shared Logic/Rimas)
• Distribute paperwork to appropriate departments
• Verifies all trailers and containers are loaded as instructed when entering scale, documenting times on weight tickets for inbounds/outbounds
• Maintains computer, cameras, scanners and printer’s cleanliness
• Dispatch and communicate with spotter driver for trailer movements
• Update white boards with trailer movement in coordination with Dispatch
• Maintain and monitor equipment availability
• Communicate effectively with transportation, customers, management, accounting, and yard employees using 2-way radios and CB radios
• Validate paperwork is attached to trailers for overnight operations loading
• Complete and file all paperwork for current day before leaving
• Process all paperwork for month end reports
• Preforms all other duties as assigned
